Maybe it's just me, but I think that mask looks like it wants to commit a homicide.
Apparently, this was a very popular character back in the day. I had no idea who Crusader Rabbit was, or Rags the Tiger, who looks like Hobbes (from Calvin & Hobbes) to me.
But Wiki knew. He dates way back to 1949.
