Porcelain Skull "Nodder" Lamp (Japan, 1940s)
ANTIQUE PORCELAIN HALLOWEEN SKULL WITH A NODDING JAW...
THE LAMP IS IN MINT CONDITION ACCEPT I DO NOT KNOW HOW THE NODDER WIRE WORKS SO I AM LEAVING THIS UP TO THE NEW OWNER
ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT AND THERE IS A PLACE ON THE INSIDE OF THE SKULL WHERE THE WIRE GOES AND ITS ALL DONE WITH THE WEIGHT ON THE END OF THE WIRE WHICH I HAVE PHOTOGRAPHED.
THE ORIGINAL SATIN WIRING IS PRESENT IN GOOD CONDITION THE LAMP WORKS FINE.
THE SKULL SITS ON A PORCELAIN FORMED BOOK WITH PAGES AND THE JAW WILL MOVE UP AND DOWN WITH THE SLIGHTEST MOTION (WHEN THE WEIGHTED WIRE IS IN PLACE).
10 bids so far.
This old Hollywood-lookin thing's presently going for 611 dollars.
It's probably Tim Burton bidding.
