Halloween Dance Card from Fraternity Party (1911)

Up for bid is a fantastic old dance card from the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. This is from the 1911 Hallowe'en party, nearly 100 years ago! Card has a very long string and is in good condition. Has some names written in pencil and pen, and does have some glue stains on the back from having been in a scrapbook at some point. No indication of chapter, but if memory serves this may have come from the chapter at the University of Kansas, but I'm not 100% certain. Measures 4 3/4" tall, and does have a few creases here and there. A very nice addition to your Phi Delt or vintage fraternity / sorority collection!

Nowadays, dance cards probably only exist in the tongue-in-cheek expression, "My dance card is full!"

But once upon a time, such strange things existed.

And here's proof.

Who knows, maybe it will turn out to be the vital clue to solve a long unsolved mystery--I mean if anyone got shot at the dance that long ago Hallowe'en night.

Only 1 bid right now and that's $2.49.

So can be yours without a song and dance.
