Vintage Jolly Green Giant Costume by Kusan (60s? 70s?)

It's hard to believe the Jolly Green Giant was introduced as long ago as 1928.

This costume is sometimes advertised as dating to the sixties, other times the seventies. I couldn't confirm the date.

It sold for $2.49 or thereabouts. (Maybe one could date the costume--probabilistically--by that price?)
